Microsoft SQL server – Change SQL server name

When you change the server name of your Windows server with Microsoft SQL Server installed it does not change the name inside SQL. To find the current SQL name use the command: select @@servername While using VMware and cloning machines I use these commands to change the server name inside MS SQL.
